CDS is a global leader providing innovative solutions to complex development challenges. We design programs to meet unique local needs, while also meeting the standards of an integrated global economy.
MBAs Without Borders
CDS’ newest division is MBAs Without Borders (MWB), an international organization that empowers local entrepreneurs in developing countries by matching them with top MBA leaders around the world. MWB focuses on small businesses primarily in the agriculture, health, handicrafts, microfinance, and environment sectors, placing MBA business associates for periods of 2 weeks up to 6 months. MWB volunteers have worked in 25 countries across Latin America, Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe.
Socially responsible grassroots entrepreneurs in developing countries provide goods and services to the poor and create sustainable jobs. They are on the front lines in the fight against poverty and environmental degradation, but too often they are alone. MBAs Without Borders responds to this need in the “missing middle” by providing critical business support to local entrepreneurs.
Combined with our existing MBA Enterprise Corps program, CDS is able to offer cutting edge expertise of recently-graduated MBAs from universities all over the world, and we are able to offer volunteer assignments that range from 2 weeks to 15 months.
